Food & Restaurants
- Forager Project Strawberry Dairy-Free Drinkable Cashewgurt - It's hard to find a probiotics drink that is both tasty and non-dairy. This one fits the bill and has become a staple to my mornings.
- Grainful Vegetarian Chili - This meal takes exactly 4 min to make in the microwave. Throw in a little shredded cheese and sour cream, and it's a hearty, quick meal.
- Gabriel's Restaurant - LOVE this restaurant! It's adorable and romantic. It's in the middle of nowhere, but the food is delicious and the service is excellent. We went for Valentine's Day this past month. I would highly recommend their holiday menus.
Beauty
- Sephora Favorites Mascara - I bought this over the holidays, but didn't get around to really using it until this month. This is a special that Sephora usually releases in different varieties at the end of the year. This one is centered around mascara and came with 2 full-sized products and several minis. This year's box came with a mini and full-size of my favorite mascara (Urban Decay Perversion), and I tend to use minis mascara because it dries out so fast. I've found a few products in the box that I'll be repurchasing, and I'll definitely be grabbing this box again next year. Looks like it's discontinued online, but they do have a To Go version here.
- SK-II Facial Treatment Essence - I stayed away from this product so long because of the price tag. I didn't think any skincare could be worth that much. A mini version of this product snuck into my life during the holidays, and I started using it at the beginning of February. I had instantly noticeably results of brighter, tighter, and smoother skin. It was honestly unbelievable. I've already bought the full-sized bottle and it's a new HG product. It's available through Sephora, but you can get more product for the same price through Costco.
- Tatcha Violet-C Brightening Serum - Tatcha as a whole is a beautiful brand. Everything I've used by them has gorgeous packaging and is a high-quality product. I've been in love with their Violet-C mask for a while, so when they came out with a serum, it was instantly in my cart. It didn't disappoint. Non-irritating and hydrating, these two qualities are super hard to find in a Vitamin C serum, but Tatcha pulled it off.
Entertainment
- Umbrella Academy - This is a new show on Netflix based on a comic book about a dysfunctional group of adopted superhero siblings. Josh and I binged the whole thing in less than a week. The filmography, characters, and humor really brought this show to life, but during the first day of watching, I couldn't stop gushing over their music playlist. I later found out that the comic book was created by Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance. *Cue me reverting to my teenage fangirl self* It explained so much. If you're into dark humor and weirdness I'd recommend checking out this show.
- Vanishing Stair by Maureen Johnson - This is the second novel in the Truly Devious series. Loved it and I'm so mad that I probably have to wait another year to get the final novel. If you like murder mysteries, read this book.
Extras
- Dyson AM10 Humidifier - I was sick for basically all of January and February. This humidifier from Dyson is a fan/humidifier/air purifier. I felt so much better after we added this to our master bedroom. It definitely doesn't humidify as much as some of our larger ones, but I love the way it makes the air feel. We got a great deal on it at Costco and I wish we had bought more than one because they're gone now.
- Barefoot Dreams - I've been obsessed with this brand since my husband bought me my first item from them for the holidays. I've been adding to this collection ever since. It's the softest, coziest, lounge clothes I've ever owned.
- Philips Somneo Sunrise Alarm Clock - I like to wake up naturally with the sunrise rather than to a noisy alarm. I had gotten pretty good at waking up exactly at 5:45am in our last house without an alarm, but the master bedroom window is facing a different direction in our current place. This alarm clock wakes you up by gradually simulating a sunrise. It works perfectly. They have natural sounds that you can add to the sunrise, but we haven't needed to use it. Having a slow wake up creates a much better morning than an abrupt sound forcing you awake.
