March was a very busy work month. Overtime filled most of my time so, unfortunately, my favorites are limited for the month. Here's the short and sweet of the best items from the month:

  • Becoming by Michelle Obama - This book was wonderful. It's easy to see why it's on track to being the best selling memoir of all time. It's extremely deceptive because I thought it would be a much faster read. But the text is small and the book is much denser than what I initially thought. I loved her writing style and her story telling. It was extremely interesting to get an inside look at her life.
  • A Well Behaved Women by Therese Anne Fowler - This is a biographical historical fiction book about the life of Alva Vanderbilt. Before reading this, I had never heard of her. It was such an interesting read and she was such an impactful person. I wish there were more stories about woman like this.
  • Covered Wicker Storage Basket from the Basket Lady- I purchased both sizes of the Covered Wicker Storage Basket from the Basket Lady website, and I've really enjoyed them. I use one for journal storage, another for unpacked purse item storage, and another for extra beauty storage. They are extremely high quality and their customer service was top-notch. I'll definitely be purchasing more items from here in the future.
  • Shhh Silk Pillowcases - I bought my first pillowcases from here two and half years ago, and I haven't used anything else since then. Recently, I repurchased a couple of the black silk ones because ours were starting to wear from the use. I refuse to go back to anything other than silk for pillowcases because of how amazing it's been for helping with hair frizz and skin health. All beds in our new house will be fitted with these.
  • Canon EOS M100 - I bought this camera last year as a birthday present. It was mostly for documenting our wedding and honeymoon in April 2018. Then I basically dropped off from using it. I picked it up again this month to document the process of our home being built in pictures and videos. Hundreds of pictures later and I've remembered what a great camera it is. It's the perfect size, the camera quality is fantastic, and it's extremely easy to transfer items from the camera to my phone/computer.
  • Coach Parker 18 With Tea Rose Stones Purse - This was one of the birthday presents from my husband. It's a beautiful purse, and the perfect size for carrying essentials like phone, lip tint, and wallet. I usually go for much darker purses, so it's different from anything else in my collection. However, I still find myself reaching for it a majority of the time especially with us going into spring.
  • 4-Handed Massage - My gift to myself for my birthday was an all-day spa day. My favorite session was the 4-handed massage. It's exactly as it's titled - you have two people massaging you for the entire session. It's absolute heaven. Especially for people who have back problems and want to have that focused on while also getting a full-body massage. If you're in the Denver or Littleton area, I highly recommend Woodhouse Day Spa. I've been to both of them and they're my favorite.
