May was one of the busiest months of my entire life. I had several intense work projects going while also juggling closing on our first house and moving. I was reminded how moving is the absolute worst, and I'm so happy that we're officially not renting so I don't have to deal with it again for a long time. My favorites and repurchases from this month largely fall either into the moving category or the beauty category. The Sephora sale happened early in the month, so I made sure to stock up on my favorites at that time.

Beauty/Fashion

NARS Orgasm Oil-Infused Lip Tint - This has become my new favorite lip gloss. It's decently long lasting with no sticky feeling. It feels extremely comfortable with just enough sheen. I really love using this in combination with Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Red Dahlia as an everyday color. You can always find these two products in my purse.

Olaplex No. 6 Bond Smoother Reparative Styling Creme - Olaplex has been a long time brand favorite of mine (you'll see some of their other products in the repurchase section below). I have a love/hate relationship with their limited product line. On one hand, it's clear how much they value quality over quantity because I've loved absolutely everything they've come out with. On the other hand, I really wish they were at the point where I could solely use hair products from their line. I dream of the day they come out with a dry shampoo. In the meantime, the product was launched right before the Sephora sale, and I knew I had to have it. The creme did not disappoint. I put it on after my shower and it smooths and tames my hair so it doesn't come out a frizzy mess after air drying. A little goes a long way with this product, so the tiny bottle will definitely last me a few months. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative, I've also enjoyed the Air Dry Creme from Kristin Ess.

Felina Aurora O Ring Back Chemise - This is a soft, comfortable dress that can be worn to bed or during a lazy day around the house. The cut is super flattering on my body. It also doesn't cut into my skin in the middle of the night like other chemises have for me before. I ended up buying one, testing it out, then purchasing 3 others. You can find them through both Nordstrom Rack and Amazon. Be aware that the non-black colors are much more sheer than the black version.

Home/Moving

Blue Skies Area Rug - We're slowly accruing more pieces for our new home and this is one of them. We bought this rug in the smallest size to use as a mat for our kitchen sink and it is beautiful. The design is just so much prettier in person. We have light gray cabinets in our kitchen and this rug really compliments them. I would highly suggest getting a rug pad for it as it's a pretty thin rug.

Schottis Pleated Shade - These temporary shades from Ikea are a lifesaver. The home we purchased was a new build, so it did not come with any blinds or curtains pre-installed. Blinds take weeks to come in when designing for custom sizes and putting curtains everywhere in such a large home just isn't reasonable on day 1. The Schottis Pleated Shade is a great solution. They are cheap, easy to install, and require no drilling. It was great to have immediate privacy on our bathrooms and bedrooms. We've had them up for over 2 weeks with no issues so far.

U-Haul Boxes - Specifically the wardrobe boxes, dish boxes, and the cell kit are absolutely vital for every move. During an extremely stressful time, they make things so much simpler. For the wardrobe box, your clothes stay on the hangers and stay hanging throughout the entire move. That means that your clothes aren't getting wrinkled or dirty and you save tons of time packing and unpacking. The dish box and cell kit keep your kitchen items organized, clean, and protected. We purchased these boxes for our move a year ago, and we re-used them for our most recent move. They were still in perfect condition by the end so we ended up donating them to someone else who was moving. If you move frequently, they will absolutely make it through multiple moves.

Other

Dead to Me - This new Netflix series with Christina Applegate is amazing. The acting, the story, and the characters, I was a fan of it all. The series is about a woman who's husband is the victim of a hit-and-run, and the woman she befriends in grief counseling. That's all I really want to say because I don't want to give anything away. If you like suspense, dark comedy, and strong female characters then I suggest you check it out.

Moroccanoil Clarifying Shampoo - I don't wash my hair every day. I've just found that this works better for my curls, scalp, and hair health. If you want a super deep clean, this is the shampoo for you. I've been using it for years, and it's still a favorite. I always stock up during the Sephora sale.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Tweezers - Best tweezers hands down. Sharp, not flashy. This was a repurchase because I like having them in multiple areas.

Shiseido Facial Cotton - These are the only cotton pads I ever use anymore. Soft and doesn't waste product like other types. I use them daily. This is one of the core items I always stock up on during every Sephora sale.

Olaplex No. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and Conditioner - Nothing from Olaplex has ever let me down. This shampoo/conditioner combo smells great, keeps my hair hydrated, and is also great for scalp care. I've even converted my husband to use these. We hadn't run out during the sale, but I wanted to make sure we had back-ups.

Other

Baba & Pop's Pierogi - The local farmer's markets are back in the swing of things, and that means we can finally restock on these pierogis! We have a local merchant who sells frozen handmade pierogis at our local markets. My favorite flavors have been the potato and cheese and the spinach and feta. We've found that the best way to cook them is to first bake them and then fry them with some local olive oil (the tuscan herb flavor with this is superb). It takes less than 30 minutes total. If you're near Denver, I definitely suggest checking them out.

Go Pet Club Mya Cat Tree - This is a giant cat tree. We first bought this several years ago when we were renting our first house. They scratched through it after 2 years, and we ordered another. One year later, the house we bought is double the size, so we figure buying one for the upstairs and keeping the old one for downstairs will be best. So this is now our third one, and I would buy it again. It comes in several colors, the cats love it, and it's very sturdy. The price isn't bad either.
