November '19 Favorites

November was a lot. I traveled to Prague in the first part of the month for a work trip. While it was amazing to see my team in person, it takes a lot out of me to be so social as an extremely introverted person. I spent the rest of the month recovering from both this and the jet lag/time difference.
Devacurl No-Poo/One Condition Original
I picked this up during the Sephora sale early in the month. I've had a Devacurl haircut before, but do not get them all the time, and I do not subscribe to all the Devacurl methodologies. So I was a bit on the fence about this purchase, but I actually really enjoyed them. They make my hair feel clean and light. I switch between using this combo and the Olaplex combo now. The Olaplex combo can be a little heavy, so this consistently switching with the Devacurl combo provides some balance.
Sephora Favorites Lashstash
I bought this last year and loved it, so I repurchased this during the Sephora sale. Each year's version has different products inside. So far, I think I prefer last year's version, but I still like the current one. I prefer mini mascaras, and they're basically all I buy. While it's obviously more expensive to purchase that way, I feel like minis last a decent amount of time and I don't have to deal with it drying out. This product is great for trying out different brands and finding what you like.
Dyson Airwrap Complete
I waited a year from this product's launch to purchase. Originally, I was only planning on waiting 3 months, just to wait til a bunch of reviews came out, but then the purple version went out of stock for the next 9 months. Very annoying that their inventory process was so poorly designed, but it's finally here! I waited for purple because pink is just not a color I like, and I didn't want to see it in my bathroom everyday. This product is perfect for someone like me who wanted to do more with their hair, but typically just lets it air dry because it's so much work/time to deal with. My hair strands are extremely thin, but the density is thick, so it takes 50 million years if I try to use a traditional hair dryer. With the Airwrap, I had a lovely style done that lasted 4+ days completed in 15 min. It's magical. I'm happy with this purchase so far.
Disney Plus
Disney Plus was released this month, and, of course, we immediately added it to our subscriptions. I've been very impressed with their UI and UX. That doesn't happen very often, especially with brand new products. Their application is clean and functional. I also love having all the Disney and Pixar movies that I enjoy all in one place.
Sapiens
This book took so long to get through, but it was well worth it. Be warned that this book is dense. It's basically like reading an extremely interesting text book that takes you through the history of humanity from the very beginning. I really enjoyed this book, and I'm looking forward to reading the author's other books.
