October '19 Favorites

I spent most of October extremely sick and preparing for my company's yearly All Hands meet-up. When the month started, I was looking forward to enjoying some of the lovely fall season. Just like last year though, we got almost instant snow that killed all the beautiful fall colors. Colorado weather is extremely hormonal. It will go from blizzard to 80 degrees in 24 hours. It did just that for Halloween. Overnight, we went from comfortable, cozy weather to a couple of back-to-back snowstorms. We had bought over a 100 candy bars in preparation for our new family-friendly neighborhood, but then got barely any visitors due to the chill. Luckily, I found a great place to donate the extras to. Overall, this month wasn't one of my favorites of 2019.
SK-II Facial Treatment Clear Lotion Toner
Their essence is probably their most popular, but I actually saw bigger results with this toner. Both the essence and this toner together are absolutely amazing. When I use this product consistently, I have clear skin 100% of the time. My skin also feels firmer and overall more healthy. There is some sticker shock to this product, but you don't need much each day, and the bottle lasts me close to a year. This is a must-have for me.
Meowbox
This is a subscription box that we have been getting for years. Our cats always look forward to it. Meoxbox includes a variety of different toys, and they spray their boxes with a catnip spray that makes my babies go crazy. We did switch our box to be toy-only, rather than including treats because the cats were never interested in those.
Prodigal Son
So many of our favorite shows have ended this year (Ex. Madam Secretary and Elementary), so it was definitely time for a new one. Prodigal Son has been filling that void for us. I feel like they are still getting their footing (as is normal for most first season shows), but I really like the characters and the actors they chose for the roles. It's looking very promising.
The Polish Outlet
This is a local favorite that we found in October. This store is an absolute treasure trove of unique designs and quality dishware. We made a couple visits last month. My favorite finds were the large belly mugs (perfect for hot cocoa!) and the cooking spoon holders. You can also purchase from them online.
